MIXED FISHING RESULTS AT CAMALU AND SAN QUINTIN
June 4, 2004, Alan Tokunaga, Camalu, San Quintin, Baja fishing, Mexico:
Fished the San Quintin area Memorial Day weekend with mixed results. Stopped at Camalú Saturday morning to check it out. Only fished for a few minutes for two small perch, but looks like it has possibility.
Fished San Ramón for half a day. Tough fishing for about a dozen fish. Drove down to Cielito Lindo for a fish taco and beer at Laura’s and caught a few more perch.
On another note, stopped to check out a stuck gringo in the sand. Whole frame was bottomed out. Left him with my shovel to get my Expedition, since the Baja bug has not enough power. Got back. No gringo, no shovel. Someone else must have pulled him out. Went to Home Depot yesterday to buy a shovel.
