PEDRO'S PANGAS BOAT PELICANO LANDS 26-POUND WHITE SEABASS
Sept. 5, 2004, San Quintin, Mexico Fishing, Pete Hillis, San Quintin, Baja California, Mexico:
On the 2nd day of the Todd Pipe & Supply bus trip, 8/29/04, the San Quintin fishing jackpot was won by Todd Webster from San Diego with a 26 pound white seabass taken at Socorro from the Pelicano with Captain Miguel.
Geoffrey Glassco and Larry Twombley of Riverside fished San Quintin 2 days on the Palamo with Captain Pato for nice yellowtail to 20 lbs and white seabass to 40 lbs.
Phoned fishing report from Captain Hector in San Quintin on 9/5/04 reported that there was still good yellowtail and white seabass at Socorro and the 240 spot. San Quintin bottom anglers are loading up on large reds and large ling cods.
San Quintin fishing weather has been good in spite of reports of a storm further south. Still no yellowfin or albacore. There have been a few dorado and larger yellowtail outside under paddies, 25 to 30 miles off the point, but no guarantees.
