TEN BOATS FISHING OUT OF PEDRO'S PANGAS THIS WEEK
Nov. 14, 2004, Pete Hillis, Pedro's Pangas, San Quintin, Baja California, Mexico sportfishing:
Clear and sunny days at San Quintin, but very chilly in the mornings and evenings. Make sure you bring plenty of warm clothes to layer.
This week we had ten San Quintin fishing boats out. Winds kept the boats close in up until Saturday morning. Most boats were fishing just south of the San Quintin point for sandbass and small rockcod.
Saturday everything calmed down. Paul and Joshua Shtien and Rolland Goldberg of San Diego got limits of sandbass and calicos with nice sheephead and were heading to San Martin Sunday morning to try the yellowtail bite.
Jim Nolan and Zach Nolan of Buena Park also got limits of sandbass and calicos. As of Sunday morning, the winds have stopped completely at San Quintin.
White seabass and yellowtail playing hide and seek but all San Quintin fishing boats got limits of rockcod and ling cod at the 180 and 240 spots.
