NOVEMBER DORADO CAUGHT OFF
THE BAJA CENTRAL PACIFIC COAST

Nov. 6, 2005, Juanchys Aguilar, La Bocana, Baja California fishing, Mexico:

George Bishop, Jonny Arrieta, and Kevin Beddoe of San Diego came to fish at La Bocana from Tuesday to Friday, excellent professional fishermen in Kevin's 26-foot boat, and I guided them as captain. We caught 77 medium Baja yellowtail of 28 to 34 pounds, 21 medium dorado, calico bass, and five grouper of 30 to 32 pounds. We had good Baja fishing weather from Tuesday to Thursday, but on Friday the wind blew at 16 to 18 knots from the northwest with clear water. We fished 40 to 45 feet deep, water temperature 73 degrees, partly cloudy.

On Nov. 5th, at 7 a.m., Lic. Pedro Osuna, President of the City of Mulege, arrived at La Bocana accompanied by his father, Sr. Pedro Osuna, and his brothers, and his younger son. They fished on my boat Karol with Capt. Domingo Aguilar and Capt. Martin Ceseña for 17 yellowtail of 20 to 25 pounds, in winds of 19 to 20 knots.
