SOME FISH FOUND OFF EAST CAPE'S LA RIVERA AND PUNTA COLORADO

March 4, 2005, Gary Leeper, East Cape fishing, Baja California Sur, Mexico:

It wasn't too bad a week of fishing at East Cape. I got into a bite off La Rivera and Punta Colorada early in the week and caught dorado, toro, skipjack and marlin, all within one hour. I went back fishing there yesterday and couldn't find anything but skippies, but heard on the radio that East Cape fishing boats to the north were finding a good bite. I think that's typical now. Just find where they are today. Sierra fishing at East Cape remains good early in the day between Rancho Leonero and Punta Colorada. There are no tuna yet. East Cape fishing water temperatures are 70 to 73 degrees, and the winds moderate to calm.
