MIXED DORADO AND TUNA CAUGHT BY SOUTH SIDE PANGAS

Aug. 28, 2004, Gerardo Hernandez, Tortuga Sportfishing, Las Arenas, La Paz, Mexico Fishing Report:

This week the fish was unchanged from the week before, with continued dorado and yellowfin tuna of 15 to 25 pounds, as we fished the area south of Ensenada de los Muertos. This is where we found the best action for these smaller species.

We have enough sardina bait for the tuna, and some anglers are fishing with barrilete and other baits that might be caught in the fishing area. La Paz had some heat and some rain, with humidity and air temperatures of about 98 degrees. La Paz vacation area water temperature has been 82 to 84 degrees off Punta Pescadero. Today we had clouds and some rain near the city of La Paz.
