GOOD MAHI-MAHI CONCENTRATIONS FOUND OFF ISLA ESPIRITU SANTO

Aug. 19, 2005, Leonard Phillips, Baja Pirates Fleet, La Paz, Mexico Fishing Report:

There are plenty of dorado, or mahi-mahi, through the slot and the northeast side of Isla Espiritu Santo. The Dorados are ranging 20 lbs. and down. We had good news on the Marlin bite at La Paz, with plenty of Stripers between 80 and 120 lbs. Bill Cabaral of Santa Fe Springs landed and released a Blue Marlin estimated at 120 Kilos. The Las Arenas Tuna bite has slowed, with many of the Las Arenas pangas showing up on the east side of Espiritu Santo Island.
