LA PAZ: GOOD FISHING ON LAS ARENAS SIDE

June 24, 2006, Gerardo Hernandez, Tortuga Sportfishing, good June panga fishing on La Paz' Las Arenas side:

This fishing week at Las Arenas has been excellent for all of our fishermen and had a lot of happy days of good fishing and good weather. We basically caught all the major fish species, such as dorado to 30 and 40 pounds, striped marlin, and blue marlin, all of which we've been catching and releasing.

Dale Howe and Lyle Coleman went for roosterfish and had a lot of luck catching them in different sizes, plus dorado and tuna.

The better fishing for dorado has been north of Punta Arena, between El Sargento and Las Cruces, although we are also catching them south around Boca del Alamo.

La Paz fishing water temperatures have been 80 to 82 degrees in our Las Arenas areas and the weather was good all week.
