June 11, 2004, Larry Edwards, Cortez Yacht Charters, Cabo San Lucas Fishing, Baja California Sur, Mexico:

Cabo San Lucas striper action shot upward for the week, but there was little on the yellowfin tuna and only a scattering of dorado, with much of the better fishing taking place offshore, outside the 1150 spot, to the east of Cabo San Lucas harbor, some 25 miles or so.

Gaviota Fleet reported for 34 days, reflecting 38 striped marlin, (35 released) 6 dorado & 2 yellowfin tuna. Hot boat for the week was the "Gaviota IX", averaging 2 stripers per day for 5 Cabo San Lucas fishing days. The "Fish Cabo", reporting for a single fishing day, released 2 stripers, and the "Juanita VIII", reporting for 5 fishing days, released 7 stripers and captured 1 yellowfin tuna.

The Cabo San Lucas Climate: Sunny & hot, 70 at night to high 90's daytime, almost no cloud cover.

Cabo San Lucas Sea Conditions: Mostly calm, temps ranging from 74 close to Cabo to 79 outside the 1150 spot

Best Cabo San Lucas Fishing Area: Outside the 1150 spot

Best Lure/Bait: Not reported

Live Bait Supply: Good, mostly caballitos.
