HONEYMOON FISHING TRIP TO CABO SAN LUCAS

Aug. 27, 2004, Louie Prieto, Cabo San Lucas, Mexico Fishing on the Joana:

I and my wife Kay Prieto, after being married on 8/7/04, went to Cabo San Lucas on our honeymoon the week of 8/8/04 to 8/15/04 and had a great time fishing, sightseeing and taking in the Cabo nightlife.

We fished on the Joana with Capt. Guillermo and in 2 days fishing caught 5 Yellowfin Tuna and 4 Dorado. My wife Kay caught this 40 Lb bull on a live caballito. The Yellowfin hit on a cedar plug. All the tuna were caught trolling through a massive school of spinner dolphins that put on a show that not even Sea World could top! Also saw hundreds of Manta Ray's jumping throughout the trip.

I caught a nice 15 Lb. Jack Crevalle off the boat docks in Cabo San Lucas. Used a Quantum Big Iron Baitcaster with 17Lb test Ande, Fenwick Inshore Rod and an old lure called a Squid Clone. It put up one heck of a fight and had me jumping from boat to boat. The fish was released unharmed to fight another day.
