STRIPED MARLIN LEAD SLUGGISH FISHING RESULTS

The striped marlin action continued to be the fishing leader again this week at Cabo San Lucas, albeit it Cabo San Lucas fishing was slow early in the week and picking up some steam toward the end.

"GAVIOTA I" led the fleet this week with an average of two striped marlin per day for six straight fishing days, and also had the week's only wahoo.

Overall catches for 38 fishing days was 38 striped marlin, 1 wahoo, 12 dorado (mahi-mahi) and 12 yellowfin tuna.

The "Fish Cabo", reporting for 4 fishing days, reflected 4 striped marlin released, 5 dorado, 1 yellowfin tuna and 1 sierra, and the "Juanita VIII" reported for 5 fishing days, reflecting 6 striped marlin released, 6 dorado, and 3 yellowfin tuna.

Cabo San Lucas weather was mostly sunny, with air temperatures from 59 degrees during the nights to 81 daytime highs.

Cabo San Lucas fishing sea temperatures dropped a little this week, ranging from 70 degrees inshore to 72.5 offshore.

The best Cabo San Lucas Sportfishing area was from the Jaime Bank to south of Cabo Falso. Live bait was necessary for most of the billfish, and the Cabo San Lucas bait supply continues to be very good, mostly mackerel.
