Fishing at Puerto Vallarta on Dec. 30th, Tamiko Eslick and Kevin Kwak of Davis, Calif., caught a 140 pound tuna, pargos, and grouper on the Marla III with Capt. Danny Osuna, at Roca Corbeteña. There was a big swell and wind coming from the northwest and a water temperature of 74 degrees. We fished 4 days and we did good. We caught yellowfin tuna, pargos, groupers and pompanos. We did try more for tunas, but we had a slow week for tunas, and they weren't too hungry again, but we saw a lot of tunas crashing up to 150 pounds. I hope next week they will get hungry we be ready for it.
Fishing out of Puerto Vallarta on the Arca de Noe on Dec. 30th, Tom Coster and Tom Coster Jr. caught nice pompano and roosterfish with Capt. Alonso Osuna fishing 3 miles north of Punta de Mita. The water condition were swelly and NW wind and the water temperature was 74 degrees. We have been fishing inshore mostly and we have been doing really good. There is a lot of roosterfish, pompanos, jacks, sierras, and pargos. It has been an excellent week for the inshore fishing. All these fish are taking live caballitos and Diamond Jigs.
