JANUARY BAJA RAINS CAUSE VACATION TRIP CANCELLATION

Our third annual January fishing trip to Puerto Santo Tomas had to be canceled because of rain. I've communicated with Sam Saenz at Puerto Santo Tomas Resort, and he tells me and others that the river is running for the first time in eight years, closing the lower road. The upper road from the highway into Puerto Santo Tomas is open as long as the mining company keeps it open. The Puerto Santo Tomas access has very bad conditions now, Sam says, and he has enough food for two weeks in case he can't get out. We will reschedule our Baja fishing trip to Puerto Santo Tomas for a later date.
